Waterproof organic cotton bed pads

Washable Cotton waterproof Bedpads

Sorry, out of stock.

Soft brushed organic cotton with an inner layer of waterpoof and breathable rubber bed pads. We used one of these from late pregnancy on, until our daughter was reliably out of night nappies. No need to place under bed sheet, just lay this on the top, and remove for washing, if it gets too wet.
To start with, sleep on one in late pregnancy to protect the bed from broken waters. Then once baby is born, if you feed your baby in bed at night, or even if you don't, but are breast feeding, sleep on the mat under your upper body, to protect the bed from milky leaks. The pad can also be placed under baby's head in the cot, to protect the mattress from milky vomit. Makes a decent sized kick mat foir the floor, that will also catch the little wees, if letting your baby kick without a nappy for a while. As baby grows, it can then be used as a bed protector, as they come out of nappies, and the absorbency means you don't need to place it under the bed sheet with a towel (as with the cheap highstreet store plastic bed protectors), just remove when wet, and the bed underneath is dry. Our's has now been passed through 2 other families, and is still going strong. Cotton either side, with a waterproof, but breathable polyurethane inner layer. Very useful item, and in the long run, much cheaper than disposable care mats. Can be used as a change mat as well, although we do a smaller version (above) if that is the only purpose you wish to use it for.
Machine washable at up to 95 degrees, tumble dryable.
