Disana intro~Disana nappies are all organic cotton. Their main system is a tie on nappy system. They also make merino wool nappy covers. ~~~1132~1171~~

Organic Tie On cloth Nappies~Organic cotton tie on nappies, birth to potty in one size. Use with muslin or flannelette booster liners for extra absorbency.~Disana Organic Tie on Nappies. These are not the quickest of nappies to use, and they do have some drawbacks, such as needing care with the ties in the wash, but they are organic, very cheap and surprisingly neat and cute when on. The nappy looks very comfortable for baby. They are also by far the fastest drying nappy for birth to potty use. They are one size and will need boosting on older babies, and the muslins or flannelette boosterliners below are excellent for this purpose, use 1 or 2 as necessary. The most popular liner is the soft flannelette squares, but the muslins are faster drying. These are definitely a choice for parents who want an extra green experience, as the nappy is 100% organic cotton, no pins, velcro or any synthetics required to use them. You will need to stick at with them for a couple of weeks to get the hang of putting them on neatly and quickly, but most parents who do this, grow to really love these, and say they are glad they did persist. Use them with wool covers for the greenest route. The Disana organic wool pull on cover works well with this nappy, and would mean you have no fixings at all, i.e. no metal, no velcro, no plastic. We now also have Disana untreated wool velcro fastening wraps.

Organic Muslin cloth Nappies~Taditional Muslin nappies, 100% organic cotton. 80 cm x 80 cm.~Muslin nappies. Theseare the traditional newborn nappy. They have a great number of uses, as newborn nappies, boosters for older babies, liners in the Disana tie on nappy, burp cloths, general baby mop up cloths, and finally, they make excellent cleaning cloths when you are finished with them as nappies. We have a range available. Plain white, unbleached or organic in 10 packs, 80cm squares. The white and unbleached non organic are available here. Extremely useful and I highly recommend you have at least a few in the house with a small baby.

Disana Merino wool pull on pants~An economical but very effective pull n wool cover. Good for night. Non itch merino wool. Please note you will need lanolin wool cure with this cover.~

Disana Merino Wool Pull On Pants. These are about the greenest nappy covers you can use. Made from soft merino wool, and consisting of two knitted layers, these wool pants have no synthetic content (velcro, plastic poppers or elastic etc). Pull on covers do need a fitted or fastened nappy underneath, so won't work with unpinned pad folded nappies. Pull ons are ideal for babies who have problems with velcro on covers, or elastic around the leg. Very stretchy. They look like little shorts when on the baby. Used with tie on nappies, these make a very economical green nappy system, although they work very well with any fitted/fastened nappy. A very popular cover.

Please make sure you buy this if you are buying wool covers for the first time, including trial covers.~Easy use lanolin wool cure. Just a tablespoon in water, and leave to soak. Mitchell's Woolly Wash, wool shampoo~Mitchell's Woolly wash wool shampoo, with lanolin. Not a substitute for lanolin wool cure, this is for washing the wool covers.~Wool shampoo for all wool items, not just wool nappy covers. 250 ml bottle. Contains lanolin so is super conditioning as it washes.We are really pleased to have found Mitchells, as they are based in Bradford, Yorkshire. They specialise in products that contain wool fat, aka lanolin. Sheep farmers are said to have the softest hands, because of the wool fat in the coats of the sheep that they handle so often. This wool shampoo has a traditional but gentle fragrance, and because it contains lanolin, it conditions the wool while washing at the same time. Available in 250ml bottles.

Please note, this is not a substitute for lanolin wool cure, you will still need the lanolin wool cure for your wool covers.
