How to Order

You can order five ways from us.

You can order directly from the website using our secure shopping cart. Please allow cookies in your browser or the cart will not work correctly. Make your selections as you go, and click buy. There will be a running total of your shopping basket at the bottom of the page. The postage is an estimate until you complete the order form at the checkout, when the exact postage will be calculated according to the method you choose.

By telephone using a credit or debit card. 01430 425257. Available approx 9.30am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday. If the answer service answers, then please leave a message and we will get back to to you. It can sometimes take a couple of days to return all calls, so please be patient, we will get back to you. It is useful if you say which group of products you are interested in, e.g. nappies, babiy carriers etc. If you are calling from overseas, please let us know the time difference.  

By printing out the order form (see below) and sending it by post with a cheque or credit/debit card number.

You can also e-mail us with your telephone number saying you wish to order and we shall call you back. This will be particularly useful to you if you want to talk over your choice(s) and get advice.

1. Please read these notes before you make your order.

2. It is very easy to get a little "click happy" on an e-commerce site, littered with "buy me" buttons, especially at some hour of the night, which may be the only time you get enough peace and quiet to get on here. So unless you are absolutely certain that you know what you need (and that may be because you are returning to buy next size nappy covers, or more flushable liners etc), then please spend a little time just browsing before you decide to actually place an order. We have a team of nappy consultants who are ready and waiting to help you make your choice, and in most cases it will be to your advantage to ask for advice before you make your 1st purchase. At the very least, you should make sure you have read as much of the information section as possible before you make that 1st purchase of nappies. The same applies to the baby carriers, and again, we can advise you on those.

3. If you would like some help (and we strongly advise you to take advantage of this free, no obligation, service) please go to the "Personalised Advice" page, linked from the lower menu to the left.

4. Once you are sure you have absorbed all the information and/or advice, then go ahead and order as below. You may ask why we have an easy order system, if we are concerned about making sure you buy the right products from such a wide and confusing selection, then bear in mind that after that initial trial order, most people do know what they need next, and we want to make the rest of the process as easy as possible for as many people as possible. We are also responding to customer demands here.


Postage charges for the UK and Dispatch

Post and Packing Charges. UK mainland only, please call or e-mail forrates to other areas. We use Royal Mail for smaller parcels, and ANC couriernext day service for larger parcels within the UK. We use Parcel Force for larger parcels to some Highlands and Islands area and Northern Ireland. We charge exact post at Royal Mail small packet rate for overseas,but will need time to weigh the items accurately to give you the correct rate.

Please do not always expect fancy and new packaging. Where possible we keepour impact on the environment to a minimum by reusing as much packaging aspossible, and most of the nappies will not be packaged in unnecessary individualplastic packs. We obviously do need to use some new packaging for posting, as wedo not always have enough of the right size bags for the number of parcels wehandle. Some organic cotton nappies do come individually wrapped, this isbecause they have come from countries where pest control is necessary, so thenappies are individually wrapped and frozen before shipping.

How to order
1. As you browse through the product pages, you will be able to make your selection of products. Select the product size, colour etc from the drop down menus, and how many you require, then click "buy". The products will be added to your shopping basket. You can keep an check on how much you have spent (with an estimate of postage) by looking at the bottom of the screen. A small picture of the product you have selected will also appear on that bottom frame to remind you of what you have actually selected. Please note, at this stage, nothing is confirmed, you will be able to delete or alter items at any time by going to the "view basket" or "checkout" links.

2. Once you have finished choosing the items to buy, follow the checkout link on the top toolbar. You will then be able to check through everything you have clicked to buy, and you can alter or delete anything.

3. Fill in the order form and confirm your order, choosing your method of payment when asked.

4. Please remember to give the name of the nappy consultant (if any) you have had contact with, as this is the only way we can be sure to pay them correctly for their time. All the consultants are Mums who work from home around the needs of their families, and we want to be sure they are adequately renumerated for their time and effort.

5. If your order is urgent or time critical, please make a note of that when completing the order form.

6. That's it, then read on to see what happens next.

Order Notes
1. Please note that all transactions will be carried out in Sterling and include VAT where charged. There is no VAT to pay on baby clothing, and nappies fall into that category. StandardVAT on accessories, e.g. baby carriers and bras, is 17.5%. VAT on sanitary protection is 5%.

2. Once you have placed your order, confirmation will be sent to you via e-mail complete with transaction and Order reference numbers.

4. We aim to deliver within 2 weeks, although it is often faster. If delivery is likely to take longer, we will e-mail you so you will have the chance to cancel if delivery will be too long for you. Please note that the supply situation in the cloth nappy industry isn't always as good as it could be, and even though we hold reasonable amounts of stock, there will inevitably be times when we run out of stock of some items. We will do our best to keep you informed if this is the case with your order, but please feel free check the progress of your order at any time.

5. Security. We take security very seriously at CuddleBabes. We use a secure order form, and all details will be sent using 128 bit encryption, the highest level of security currently available. All information will be stored on a secure server until we collect it ourselves, and we then store it on a password protected computer, with encryption of sensitive data on the hard drive. We do not ever pass your details onto a third party, unless you specifically ask us to do so. We will use the address information supplied to perform security checks when we process your credit/debit card transaction, but the banks cannot use that information any further. We use a well known and trusted bank for all card transactions, HSBC. All paperwork is shreaded once the appropriate storage time has passed and credit card details deleted.

6. You will not have a credit card slip sent with your invoice, although you will be able to see from the "paid" note on the invoice that we have taken payment. This is to increase security as parcels can be stolen en route, and we wish to protect your card details as much as possible.

7. Payment is not taken as soon as you place an order. We only take payment within the 24 hours preceding actually sending the goods. If we send your order in more than one parcel, we will only charge for the items sent that day.

Refunds and exchanges
1. All refunds and exchanges should be returned to the South Cave address, and any queries about returns and faulty goods should also be directed to Kim at that address, or 01430 425257, or kim@cuddlebabes,co.uk. If you would like an exchange, or more advice, please speak directly to your consultant first (named on your invoice), who will advise you about the returns procedure. 

2. All goods, except sanitary wear, are refundable or exchangeable for any reason if returned in their original condition, unused and unwashed, and where possible in original packaging within 3 months of the order. The goods must be in a new and re-sellable condition. If goods are returned in a re-sellable condition within 2 weeks of delivery, we will refund return postage costs. Postage and packing costs for the original dispatchcannot be refunded. We do not deduct an element of the cost for postage from orders that were sent out post free as part of a trial pack, but may deduct a small amount for the postage costs from larger orders (over £150 or less if a special offer applies at the time) that were sent out post free if returned more than 2 weeks after delivery. If you have made a large order, our advice is to unpack about 5 nappies to wash and use for a week or so, once you are sure you are happy with your purchase, then wash and use the rest. Please note, we cannot refund or exchange used and/or washed nappies. We may however be able to offer a credit against a future purchase (rather than refund) if you have washed the nappy, as it may be sellable as used.If any perfect goods are returned after washing or returned in a condition that requires them to be washed before selling on, a minimum of 30% will be deducted from the value for exchange/credit purposes.  Please do not purchase your nappies more than two months before you are likely to use them, as this will not allow sufficient time for you to try one or two out before the return time period expires.

3. All nappies are guaranteed for manufacturing faults for three months from the date of purchase, whether used or not. If a fault develops within this time you will receive a full refund or exchange. After three months we will offer an exchange minus an appropriate amount for wear and tear, dependent on the time since the goods were delivered. In some cases we will offer a repair (in particular, broken poppers can usually be replaced and in some cases velcro can also be replaced).  Please do not ask to return possibly faulty goods and exchange for the next size up, as we can only exchange for the same size. 

4. When trying any goods, but especially items such as Slings and Bras, please do so in smoke free atmosphere, as returned goods that smell of smoke or other strong odours will need to be washed before reselling, and we will deduct 30% from the value for refund/exchange/credit purposes. Bras, slings and other post inclusive priced goods will not have an amount deducted from the value for post if returned in perfect condition, in the original packaging. 

5. Please note, we cannot offer any exchanges on sanitary wear for hygiene reasons, unless that product offers a money back warranty.

Privacy

We do not pass on any personal details to any other party, unless you have specifically requested that we do so, and we do not bombard you with catalogues and literature, since we feel this is not responsible use of paper. Therefore, if you would like an up to date catalogue from time to time, please call or e-mail us with your address again. If you have made an order previously, then your name and 1st line of your address is sufficient.  We do not keep long term records of the addresses we have sent catalogues to (unless you make an order). Since, by reading this, you presumably have internet access, please do check this site from time to time for new items and up to date prices. We take security veryseriously, and would like to assure you that all possible steps are taken toprotect your security. Please read paragraph 5 under Order notes (above) formore information.
